[he just... pours a bunch of the schnapps in his cup, before adding a tiny splash of tea.]

Sure seems that way. Except his world's dragons aren't as intelligent as the ones from my world.

[Finn does the opposite, pouring a generous amount of tea into his cup and then pouring just a dash of schnapps.]

Huh. Didn't think they'd have much variety... then again there's dragon types in my world too.

[he rubs his beard, before downing the cup and starting to pour another.]

What's your world like?

It's primitive compared to this, but we get by with magic.

[Finn sips his drink, gasping a little as the alcohol burns down his throat.]

There's ancient ruins everywhere, belonging to different civilizations, all manner of monsters, and of course, non-human races.

Primitive in what way?

[he puts the cup back, rubbing his beard.]

That's pretty cool. How come they're so common? I thought ancient ruins were super rare.

For starters, we still use horse-drawn carriages, there's no TV or radio, blacksmithing and jewelry smithing is a common profession, and I thought the device was a magic mirror at first.

[Finn pours himself a little more of the tea, diluting the alcohol even more.]

The civilizations that made those ruins were vast. Very vast.

Not entirely inaccurate.

[he takes another gulp.]

Y'know, I have to wonder if societies with magic are more advanced than ones with technology. It's basically the same, right?

Interesting thought.

[Another sip for himself as well.]

I mean, we have magic and potions in place of medicine, and magic can be used to help building construction. Give us a few years, and we could very well invent the magical equivalent of the telephone or moving picture.

Yeah. I guess it's all relevant, huh?

--Do potions work?

Sure they do. There's potions to cure disease, heal minor wounds, breathe underwater, restore stamina and magicka, and so forth.

Breathe under--

[okay. okay. okay. he's staring at finn.]

...I think you're probably more advanced.

[fireandhoney]

Well, it only works for a short while, depending on the strength of the potion. There's also a spell that lets people do that, but so far I haven't found a spell book to learn it.

Argonians don't need a spell or potion to breathe underwater.

That's still on the same level as scuba gear!

[he laughs, actually putting the cup and alcohol down for a moment.]

Lemme guess-- they're aquatic?

I'll take your word on that.

[Finn takes out his sketchbook, flipping it open.]

They're amphibious lizard people.

[He finds a drawing of one and shows it to Archie.]

[he looks it over, clearly impressed.]

What other races do you have back home?

[fireandhoney]

The sapient races of Tamriel can be divided into three categories. There's the races of mer, men, and the beast races.

The races of mer are the elves, made of of Dunmer, Altmer, Bosmer, and Orsimer. Though humans typically call them Dark Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves, and Orcs, respectively.

The races of men are Imperials, Redguards, Nords, and Bretons.

And the two beast races are the aforementioned Argonians, and Khajiit, who are cat people.

Pssh. Who gives a fuck what humans think.

[he flaps a hand.]

You're... mer, right?

[because the pointy ears, like taako.]

[A smile crosses Finn's lips.]

That's right, I'm a Dunmer.

[h2no]

[he holds a fist out for a fist bump. hell yeah fuck humans.]

That's cool. I hope it ain't been too bad here for ya, I know people are stupid about non-humans.

[Thankfully Finn is familiar with the fist bump by now. So he bumps fist with Archie.]

So far it hasn't been too bad, save for being mobbed by the natives. It's just a little weird being the only Dunmer in this world.

[He's thankful for Lucien, of course, though it would be nice to have at least one other Dunmer here.]

Before I got imported in, I spent the past year away from home, in a province that generally dislikes my kind.

[his expression is telling, that some are gone now.]

Apparently just being here makes people from your world more likely to show up, so. Let's hope for ya, huh?
